It has been some time since i've posted anything on here, but that just means more to write! I'm happy to say that I finally have an actual "workspace" since I got a beautiful glass artist desk for Christmas. I've put it to good use so far, and will be slowly posting more art in the days to come. Plus, I got a set of 168 brand new markers so I think I'm pretty set for 2017.

In years past I usually reflect on the things I could improve on in terms of myself as a person, or stuff in general. However, this year with everything that's happened I'm making a resolution to keep on being kind, forgiving, and loving. These are things that have been instilled in me since I was born, and I think staying true to yourself is a pretty good new year's resolution.

It's been a hard year, but I'm thankful that I'm walking away a wiser and stronger person.

Happy New Year's to all!

Christmas Chaos

When your family knows you have some artistic talent, and then a horde of handmade gifts requests start to pour in from EVERYWHERE. Hopefully I can get everything done in time. Sweating a little... It really makes me happy though that people seem to be focusing more on thoughtful gifts rather than just throwing money around.

Almost finished with P.C. Cast's latest YA novel, Moon Chosen. I've really enjoyed it so far, but the best part is that it's given me a much needed creative boost. She does a beautiful job in describing plant life (both fantasy and real) in ways that are not only artistically pleasing, but also discusses the various uses plants can hold.

Anyways, it's always nice when one of your hobbies fuels another.

Distractions

1 min read
Was going to try doing one or two drawings today, but Layers of Fear is keeping me occupied. I normally don't do "scary" games, but I absolutely love the sh*t out of this psychological thriller. Plus, I just found out there is an add on for it...No drawings tonight I'm afraid.

Anyways, anyone who is into immersive gaming, good stories, and crazy artist guys who only have one good leg would probably really enjoy the experience that Layers of Fear provides. :) Oh, and possible acid trips. That's another key element to this game.
